Pierre Barat

Mr. Barat specializes in valuation engagements for public and private companies in support of business combinations (ASC 805), impairment testing (ASC 350 & 360), stock-based compensation (ASC 718, IRC 409A), and the valuation of other claims within simple and complex capital structures (ASC 820).

Prior to VRC, he held tax and financial analyst positions at Mazars in Paris, France and Orano Med in Dallas. Most recently, Mr. Barat was with Weaver and Aprio where he provided valuation services for estate and gift tax planning and financial reporting.

Mr. Barat earned his master’s degree in accounting & finance and bachelor’s degree in accounting and management control from University Toulouse 1 – Toulouse School of Management in Toulouse, France. In addition, he holds the designation of chartered financial analyst (CFA) issued by the CFA Institute.
