Michael Whalen

Michael Whalen specializes in the valuation of business enterprises and intangible assets for purchase price allocations and goodwill impairment studies for financial reporting purposes. He also performs valuation services for tax and strategic planning purposes. He has served clients across a diverse range of industries including industrial manufacturing, consumer products, healthcare, life sciences, energy, private equity, and technology.

Prior to joining VRC, Mr. Whalen held positions with Grant Thornton Advisors LLC, Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP,  and Cardinal Health.

Mr. Whalen holds the designation of Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV). He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame.
