Mr. Kutz specializes in valuation engagements for public and private companies in support of business combinations (ASC 805), impairment testing (ASC 350 & 360), stock-based compensation (ASC 718, IRC 490A), intellectual property, and the valuation of other claims within simple and complex capital structures (ASC 820) for financial and tax reporting purposes.

Prior to joining VRC, Mr. Kutz was an associate in the credit risk group at JPMorgan Chase & Co. covering various products including derivatives and exchange traded securities.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in risk management from The Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business. In addition, Mr. Kutz studied international business and Spanish at the Universitat de Barcelona. Mr. Kutz also currently serves as a junior board member for the American Society of Appraisers – Philadelphia Chapter.
