Kent Amarante

Kent Amarante is part of the tangible assets valuation group and specializes in valuations of machinery and equipment and real property assets. With more than 20 years in the appraisal industry, his experience includes valuations for bankruptcy, estate tax planning, financing, purchase price allocation, and tax. Mr. Amarante has extensive experience in the valuation of electric generation facilities including coal, natural gas, wind, solar, geothermal, and other renewable energies, chemical plants, oil and gas refineries, food and beverage, technology, paper manufacturing, and plastics manufacturing. He has performed dozens of international appraisal engagements in Europe, East Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Prior to joining VRC, Mr. Amarante held the position of manager with Appraisal Economics, Inc. where he managed the company’s tangible asset valuation group. Prior to Appraisal Economics, he was a senior consultant with Federal Appraisal and Consulting in Whitehouse Station, NJ. He began his career at American Appraisal Associates in Princeton.

Mr. Amarante is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers and a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). In addition, he is Certified General Real Estate Appraiser (SCGREA) in State of New Jersey. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Rutgers University.
