Kent Amarante is part of the tangible assets valuation group and specializes in valuations of machinery and equipment and real property assets. He has extensive experience in the valuation of electric generation facilities (coal, nuclear, natural gas, and waste-to-energy), aggregate quarries (hard rock and sand), and commercial real properties (hotels, multi-family housing, industrial, and retail).
Prior to joining VRC, Mr. Amarante held the position of manager with Appraisal Economics, Inc., where he managed and ran the company’s tangible assets valuation group. Prior to Appraisal Economics, he was a senior consultant with Federal Appraisal and Consulting in Whitehouse Station, NJ. He began his career at American Appraisal Associates in Princeton.
He is an accredited senior appraiser (ASA) and a certified general real estate appraiser in New Jersey. In addition, he is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). He received a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Rutgers University.
