John Bintz

John Bintz started in the financial services industry in Chicago in 1987.  He has specific financial service experience related to public finance, private equity, investment banking and valuation services.  Mr. Bintz began his career with VRC in 2006 and currently is the Managing Partner of the Chicago office. His practice specializes in the private equity marketplace with a concentration on financial transactions including mergers and acquisitions and opinions.  He also specializes in the legal, corporate (public and private), hedge fund/alternative investments and investment banking sectors.  Prior to joining VRC, he spent 8 years as an institutional Municipal Bond salesman and 10 years in Investment Banking, including serving as president of Apple Tree Investments, a financial advisory services firm he founded (1998-2006).

Mr. Bintz has appeared on over 350 financial news television and radio shows as an expert economic and financial analyst and host. He is a frequent speaker at conferences, seminars and universities throughout the country and has lectured on a wide range of financial, economic and valuation topics.

Mr. Bintz holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with a concentration in finance and economics from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business (1995).  He holds a bachelor’s degree in financial administration from Michigan State University (1986).  Mr. Bintz was an adjunct business finance professor at the University of Illinois-Chicago (2010-2018) and at DePaul University (from 2008-2012).
