Frank MainvilleMr. Mainville specializes in the valuation of complex securities such as options, warrants, preferred and common stock in privately-held companies, management incentive plans (including those with performance-based and market conditions), convertible bonds, financial derivatives and other contingent assets (including carried interests and performance allocations) and liabilities for financial reporting purposes, tax planning and strategic decision-making. For more than 25 years, he has been performing valuations for financial reporting purposes including purchase price allocations, goodwill and asset impairment, and equity compensation purposes, as well as advising owners of privately held companies in the area of mergers and acquisitions, and performing valuations for gift and estate tax purposes.

Prior to joining VRC, Mr. Mainville was a director with Delphi Valuation Advisors, and the manager of financial analysis and planning at WordWave. He has also held positions with BKR Mergers & Acquisitions Group, Tofias, and Fidelity Investments.

Mr. Mainville earned his master of science degree in finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and his bachelor of arts in economics and a bachelor of business administration in accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analyst Society, and is a Certified Public Accountant (licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts) and is accredited by the AICPA in business valuations.
