New York (June 7, 2022) – Valuation Research Corporation (VRC), a leading global provider of independent valuation support and advisory services, announced that Charles Sapnas, managing director, will present on a panel at the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) New York Fair Value Conference on Thurs., June 16.
The panel will provide updates on the status of the Appraisal Foundation Working Group, Determining the Appropriate Discount Rate on Intangible Assets. Working Groups are comprised of subject matter experts from the valuation industry with specific focus on valuations for financial reporting purposes under US GAAP. This Working Group is focused on providing useful guidance and best practices for developing discount rates used in providing fair value measurements for intangible assets. Panelists will discuss key issues and challenges that practitioners face when estimating discount rates for intangibles.
