By: Bryan Browning | Chris Mellen

New York (January 18, 2023) – Valuation Research Corporation (VRC), a leading global provider of independent valuation support and advisory services, announced its contribution to the second edition of Middle Market M&A. Senior Managing Director Chris Mellen and Senior Advisor Bryan Browning reviewed, edited, and contributed to the book’s valuation chapters.

The book offers “practical advice and insights to navigate the sell-side and buy-side processes of M&A for companies with revenues from $5M to $1B,” said the publishers, Wiley. This edition is a revamped version of the 2012.

“It was an honor to participate in the development of the next edition of a book that’s guided professionals through the fundamentals of M&A for years,” said Mellen. He is the author of the third edition of the book Valuation for M&A: Building & Measuring Private Company Value, which was published in 2018.

With a combined five decades of experience providing valuation services across a wide range of industries, Mellen and Browning shared their expertise on various valuation topics throughout the book.

“Using my varied industry background to contribute to a few chapters was a satisfying experience,” added Browning.
