Valuation Research Corporation (VRC), a leading provider of independent valuation services, announced today that Ron Ewing, Senior Vice President, has retired after nearly 20 years with VRC.
“We want to recognize Ron’s career and service to our firm,” said Jason Storbeck, Managing Director of VRC in Chicago. “With nearly 20 years in the industry, Ron is a technical expert in valuing financial reporting and tax related projects. Ron has been a mentor to all of us and we wish him well in his retirement.”

Ewing joined VRC in 1999 as an analyst specializing in business and intangible asset valuations. He has prepared valuations for the allocation of purchase price and for impairment testing for financial reporting purposes. Ewing has also appraised businesses for estate tax purposes and for the purpose of satisfying annual ESOP requirements. Before joining VRC, he served as a naval officer in the United States Navy Submarine Force.
Ewing earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of South Carolina and earned his Master of Business Administration from DePaul University in Chicago. He holds the designation of Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and, as a member of the CFA Institute, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
