PJ Patel to Present at SEC Professionals Group Q3 National Meeting

Valuation Research Corporation (VRC), a leading provider of independent valuation services, is pleased to announce PJ Patel, co-CEO and senior managing director, will be a presenter at the SEC Professionals Group third quarter national meeting, which will be hosted by its Nashville chapter at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville.

Patel will participate in the panel discussion on September 20 at 11:00 a.m. CT and is occurring concurrently with the 2018 Workiva User Conference, which is expected to draw approximately 1,700 financial reporting and SEC professionals from around the country. Session panelists will discuss the reporting challenges and success factors associated with mergers and acquisitions including effectively synchronizing two sets of accounting policies and procedures, engaging with other departments, such as legal or tax, and experiencing the benefits and challenges that mergers or acquisitions have on one’s career path.

Patel leads VRC’s financial reporting practice and is a frequent presenter on valuation issues, including valuation issues relating to ASC 805, ASC 350/360, and ASC 820. In addition, he has been on the Fair Value panel at the AICPA SEC Conference. He is often quoted in the press regarding valuation issues.
