Ahead of its upcoming Business Valuation and Forensic Accounting Conference in Sydney, Australia on August 14, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) has published their interview with Chris Mellen, Managing Director for VRC – Boston. Mellen offers a global perspective on the valuation profession.
Mellen says, “All countries are at different stages in their business valuation growth cycle and the profession is new and evolving in Australia. Likewise, Saudi Arabia is relatively new and experiencing high growth, Malaysia has seen growth in the last three years and Indonesia is new and growing.” Similarly, Mellen observed tremendous growth in business valuation in China between his two visits in 2012 and 2014.
Mellen’s interview with CA ANZ also goes on to discuss the economic environments in which he sees create optimum valuation opportunities, perceived impacts of potential disruptors of the profession such as AI, and much more.
Next week, Mellen will kick off the Sydney conference as the international keynote speaker. He will also lead a “Specialists Dinner” and teach a half-day breakout session. Learn more about the Business Valuation and Forensic Accounting Conference here.
