VRC Continues Its Trajectory of Growth

Firm Adds Five Financial Reporting Professionals

Valuation Research Corporation (VRC), a leading global provider of independent valuation support and advisory services, is pleased to welcome five Financial Reporting professionals to its offices in Yardley/Princeton, Chicago, and San Francisco.

Samuel Roman, CPA/ABV joins VRC’s Chicago office as Vice President, specializing in business enterprise valuations for purchase price allocations and goodwill impairment studies. Prior to joining VRC, Roman was a Senior Associate with KPMG and held positions of increasing responsibility in accounting for Marcum in Miami. Roman is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is also Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV); he earned his Bachelor and Master of Accounting from Florida International University.

Joe Lee, CPA, CFA, Vice President, and Aaron Ping, Analyst join VRC’s San Francisco office. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Lee holds a Master of Science in Finance from the Owen Graduate School of Management of Vanderbilt University and earned his Bachelor and Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois. Prior to joining VRC, he held positions with Deloitte Tax in Atlanta and San Francisco focusing on complex client tax issues and, most recently, delivered client valuation advisory services, with a primary focus on the technology and energy sectors, for Duff & Phelps. Ping is a recent graduate of the University of San Francisco and earned his Master and Bachelor of Science in Finance Analysis and Finance, respectively.

Sean Poynton, CPA and Adam Goldstein, CPA/ABV join VRC’s Yardley/Princeton office as Associates. Poynton and Goldstein will focus on business enterprise valuations, valuation of intangible assets, and impairment studies. Most recently Poynton was with Murray Devine and also held a Senior Associate position with PwC. A community leader, he also holds a current non-profit board position as Director of Strategic Initiatives for Coexistence in Philadelphia. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) he received his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance from Saint Joseph’s University. Prior to joining VRC, Goldstein was a Senior Financial Analyst for Murray Devine. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Goldstein studied Business Administration with a major in Accounting and Legal Studies at Temple University’s Fox School of Business in Philadelphia.

Separately, VRC also recently announced the growth of its Portfolio Valuation practice group, in response to a growing demand for client portfolio valuations in the areas of private equity and private credit, having added six additional seasoned professionals in its New York, Philadelphia-area, and San Francisco offices.
