Valuation Research Corporation (VRC), a leading global provider of independent valuation support and advisory services, is pleased to announce Chad Rucker, Managing Director of VRC, will present at the Practising Law Institute (PLI) Pocket MBA 2019: Finance for Lawyers and Other Professionals Seminar, to be held October 23-24, 2019 at the University of Chicago’s Gleacher Center. Rucker will present a session on valuations.
The PLI Pocket MBA 2019 program is specifically designed for non-accountant, in-house and law firm attorneys and other professionals who work with financial information. Rucker will present at a session on October 23 at 2:15 p.m. titled “What is it Worth? Valuations.” The session will cover the following points:
- Examine the concept of “value”
- Understand historical financial analysis
- Explore valuation approaches
- Learn what to look for in a valuation
- Apply valuation methodologies in the context of M&A, fairness opinions, disputes, commercial damages, debt capacity, etc.
- Case Study: Walk through a valuation report
Rucker specializes in fairness and solvency opinions. A holder of a master’s degree in finance from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Augusta State University in Augusta, Georgia, Rucker also earned his juris doctor from New York University School of Law. Rucker also presented at PLI’s 2017 and 2018 Pocket MBA Seminar.
