John Bintz

John Bintz has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, specifically related to public finance, private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions activities and valuation analysis. Mr. Bintz specializes in the legal, corporate, hedge fund, investment banking and private equity marketplace with a concentration on financial transactions including mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining Valuation Research, Mr. Bintz served as president of Apple Tree Investments, a financial advisory services firm he founded in 1998. He has also held positions with Dresner Investment Services and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

Mr. Bintz has appeared on over 300 financial news television and radio shows as an expert economic and financial analyst and host. He is a frequent speaker at conferences, seminars and universities throughout the country and has lectured on a wide range of financial, economic and valuation topics. He is currently an adjunct Professor at DePaul University and the University of Illinois - Chicago. 

Mr. Bintz holds a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and economics from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. He completed his undergraduate work at Michigan State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in financial administration.
