PJ Patel to Present at Workiva Annual User Conference in Las Vegas on September 19 and 20

Valuation Research Corporation (VRC), a leading provider of independent valuation services, is pleased to announce PJ Patel, Co-CEO and Senior Managing Director of VRC, will present at the Workiva annual user conference, The Exchange Community (TEC), to be held September 19-21 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Patel will address Accounting and Valuation for Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).

TEC brings together over 1,500 Wdesk users and industry leaders for three days of learning, networking and sharing best practices.

Patel will present at and lead roundtable-style discussions on September 19 at 10 a.m. and September 20 at 11 a.m. covering the merger and acquisition valuation and financial reporting process. The sessions will explore:

  • Comparing the different approaches to fair value provided by corporate development and valuation firms
  • Identifying which assets and liabilities matter most for M&A
  • Meeting reporting requirements for M&A transactions
  • Determining when to involve a valuation firm.

Patel is a widely respected valuation expert and a frequent presenter on valuation issues for financial reporting purposes. He has been on the Fair Value panel at the AICPA SEC Conference, is an active member of the AITF, and was a member of the Appraisal Foundation’s Working Group preparing an industry Practice Aid for valuing customer related assets. He is regularly quoted in the media on valuation issues.
